In most districts in Hong Kong there are not proper bus stops, the current situation in rather messy and disorganized.  According to one survey most elderly in Hong Kong would prefer to take a bus rather than the MTR due to all the long distances and long walks underground from MTR station to station.  This project is to accommodate and assist the needs of the elderly when traveling. It is a complete Solar Generating bus stop which includes 3 seated expandable chairs and a bus arriving indicator.  The sensor will strictly respond to the “Elderly Octopus Card”.  The Chair will be stored inside the transparent panel compactly while not being activated.  The chair will be expanded one seatr at a time after being activated by different cards; up to a maximum of three seats.  The seats will be restored in the panel again when no indication of users on the chair after 2 minutes.  The sensors will be placed on the seats for monitoring the occupancy. The bus stop panel will light up gradually for notifying the passengers of the arrival of the bus.
