Product Summary:

The Pressure Controlled Floor is a flooring system that is sensitive to pressure. The floor system has a sensor density of one sensor per square centimeter that can provide real time information about the location of a user.

The Pressure Controlled Floor is currently being developed by researchers at Arizona State University.
Architectural Applications:

The application for this product in our office project will be as a flooring system that will detect users' presence. The floor system will be integrated with the SmartMesh-XR in order to help control lighting, computers, etc. If the floor senses that an area is idle, that is no one has been exerting pressure on it for some time, then it relays that information back to the computer and powers down that area.
