Exercise_04: Identifying Applications
Due Friday, 02/10

The exercise will be assessed on the following criteria:

60%        Content
30%        Presentation
10%        Timeliness

Overview:
Now that we have combined the designs into one design (by the end of class) your next task is to identify specific needs for material applications.   You are each to define 10 applications in our office. Use the worksheet handed out on the 13th entitled “Novel Applications and Human Interaction” to help you in formulating these ideas.  The worksheet is available here:

http://robotecture.com/endofmechanics/adw.html

Negotiation:
As I will be in Hong Kong for the next two weeks and we seem to be unable to schedule a class for the 10th , it is required that you post your applications by the 10th to the web.  A forum has been created for you to do this task.   This method favors those who post their ideas for applications early as no person can repeat another application.   You are only allowed to post a complete list of 10 applications.
Follow the instructions carefully and post your 10 applications by midnight on the 10th.

1) Go to robotecture.com and follow the instructions to create a username (without this step I have no idea who is who)
2) Click on “Discussion” in the “Main Menu”
3) Click on the Forum “End of Mechanics – Applications”

Exercise 05:
Exercise 05 will commence the research part of this course and is essentially a continuation of this exercise.
It will be posted on the class website by midnight on the 10th and you are required to make progress prior to the next class.
There will be a guest instructor on the 17th and you will be required to present your material research.
