Prerequisites: (No programming experience necessary)
Course Requirements: The course is project based and centers on a series of four design exercises successively building upon each other and culminating in the construction of working physical models of intelligent kinetic systems.
Grading:
(10%) Attendance and Class participation
Four problem exercises:
(10%) Exercise #1 Physical modeling of kinetic object focusing on mechanics
(10%) Exercise #2 BASIC Stamp2 programming servo control (computation)
(10%) Exercise #3 Physical model augmented with servo control (engineering)
(50%) Exercise #4 Physical model of Architectural Intelligent Kinetic System demonstrating responsive behavior
